Causes of Cancer

In my 31 years of Nursing and life experience, I was pretty sure that cancer was related to a virus. However, when my nurse and teacher friends started developing cancer, I wanted more information of why between the ages of 48-52 so many professional women were developing cancer.

The research shows that there are now at least a dozen viruses associated with cancer development. But, when I questioned my colleagues on whether they thought cancer was developing in Nurses because of Stress or Viruses, 100% of them answered; STRESS!!!!

The question in my mind was why at the age it was developing? I consulted an Immunologist and asked “How is cancer development related to Menopause?” Actually, the RNs and Teachers I knew, who developed cancer were in the last of years of what we now call peri-menopause. The research does not indicate a relation to development of disease at this time in a woman’s life. Actually, the research directs attention to the development of heart disease, osteoporosis and urinary incontinence in Post menopausal women.

Later, I will talk more about what is happening in the body during peri-menopause.

Here’s the conclusion that I came to, Viruses are a stressor on the human body. So, any stressor that changes the chemical balance or development of cells is the cause of cancer. Viruses, Bacteria, and Parasites mutate cells. Western Medicine does not have a good grip on the control of viruses because the virus itself mutates. Now, we are seeing a mutation of bacteria that is now uncontrolled by current antibiotics such as MRSA.

Unless the Immune System in our bodies is strong enough to recognize and attack any of these invaders, the deterioration of cell growth continues. But the whole function of our body’s Immune System is to maintain balance. We do not want the Immune system on overdrive because it will destroy the body causing more problems. We want the Immune system in balance where it is functioning at it’s very best.

Balance can be achieved, but understanding there are many factors that cause cancer and then having the willingness to do what it takes to facilitate that balance, may be the only way to control the development or cure of cancer. I will discuss some things that you can do to stop this vicious increase of this disease.

I believe that cancer occurs in families for two reasons. One their genetic makeup is such that their Immune Systems are similar and may not be maintaining balance in their bodies. Secondly, if cancer is caused by viruses, then they may actually transfer the virus from one person to another.

When I ran a Home Health Agency, my daughter worked with our Oncology patient’s in their homes providing personal care. One day, she came into my office and asked, “Mom is cancer Catching?” I chuckled at how she put the question. But, my answer was honest, “Nobody really knows for sure, but take precautions because it could be.”

I will share some stories about cases on a later page, where you might think that cancer was in fact transferred from one person to the other. I can only tell you my experience, if that helps you then it is information you need to know. So, here are some of the things that I think put stress on the body and cause Cancer:

Viruses, Bacteria, Parasites, Chemical Exposure, Poor Nutrition, Body Fat, Lowered Hormone Levels, Lack of Exercise, Dehydration, and Mental/Emotional problems ( Such, as harboring negative emotions) Stressors on the body that cause any mutation of cell growth can cause cancer. It is our responsibility to ourselves and our families to assist our bodies to bring the Immune System back into balance. The Immune System can detect and kill mutated cells if it is in balance and functioning properly. Later, I will tell you how you can help!!!
