The sixth chakra is located on the forehead between the eyebrows called the third eye.

This energy center resonates to the color indigo.

This center oversees intuition where you activate psychic site.

The element of light is associated with the 6th chakra.

The musical keynote is A and the sound is Ee!!

The associated gland for the third eye is the Pituitary gland and it controls the Endocrine system, left brain hemisphere, left eye, nose, ears, sinuses, and parts of the nervous system.

Gemstones that help produce energy for this center are azurite, calcite, lapis lazuli, sodalite, and quartz.

Aromas that help this center stimulate energy are jasmine, mint, mugwort, and star anise.

The qualities and functions associated with the 6th chakra are inner vision, intuition, insight, clairvoyance, imagination, extrasensory perception, idealism, concentration, peace of mind, projection of will, and manifestation.

Foods that help the development of this energy are both blue and violet foods.

Balance in your Third Eye: You are open to receiving intuitive information and trust your gut feelings.

Underactive Third Eye: You mistrust your own feelings, seek other's opinions and play down your self-knowing.

Overactive Third Eye: You deal with everything through intuition. You tend not to function well in the physical world by being late for appointments, are spacey, ungrounded, unable to connect with your body and certain responsibilities.
